Abstract
A conspectus of the family Cannabaceae found wild in Singapore is presented. This consists of the genera Gironniera Gaudich. and Trema Lour. represented by three species each. The record of Gironniera hirta Ridl. for Singapore is not supported by any herbarium material, and, in addition, the species has been reduced to a synonym of G. nervosa Planch.; therefore, G. hirta is omitted from the Flora of Singapore. The presence of Trema angustifolium (Planch.) Blume in Singapore is largely based on a single 19th century collection. The species is now nationally extinct. Lectotypes are designated for 52 names and one neotype is designated.
