Abstract
We present a genome assembly from an individual (common box; Streptophyta; Magnoliopsida; Buxales; Buxaceae). The genome sequence has a total length of 676.70 megabases. Most of the assembly (99.56%) is scaffolded into 14 chromosomal pseudomolecules. The plastid genome assembly is 150.93 kilobases in length, and 8 mitochondrial sequences were also assembled.
