Abstract
is a species-rich genus in the order ( , ) that includes numerous phytopathogenic taxa which cause typical leaf spots, necrosis, or chlorosis on woody and herbaceous plants. During survey of ramularioid fungi causing leaf spot symptoms in northern Iran, several isolates were identified from symptomatic leaves on woody plants. A polyphasic approach, combining morphological observations, cultural data, and multigene phylogeny (ITS, , , , and ), was used to classify these isolates. The isolates were grouped in four species clades including, on and ; on , , , sp., , , and ; on ; and a new species on Notably, and are new records for the funga of Asia.
