Abstract
The genus Ampelocissus s.s. consists of 92 accepted species, with four species being native to New Guinea, two of which are endemic. Here we provide synonymy, two lectotypifications, an identification key, species descriptions, distribution maps and provisional regional conservation assessments of the New Guinea species.
