Abstract
The history, taxonomy, medicinal uses, pollination mechanism and interaction with insects, distribution and cultivation requirements of Isotrema manshuriense (Kom.) H. Huber (widely known in horticultural and medical circles as Aristolochia manshuriensis Kom.) are discussed; a full description, illustration and dissections are provided.
