Abstract
We present a genome assembly from a specimen of stinging nettle, (Streptophyta; Magnoliopsida; Rosales; Urticaceae). The genome sequence has a total length of 618.00 megabases. Most of the assembly is scaffolded into 13 chromosomal pseudomolecules, representing one subgenome of the tetraploid genome. The mitochondrial assembly was submitted as 12 sequences, and a single plastid genome of 146.67 kilobases was also assembled.
