Phanera kockiana (Korth.) Benth is a woody liana from the lowland forests of tropical Asia, widely distributed across the Malay Peninsula (excluding Thailand), throughout Borneo and extending to the Lesser Sunda Islands, but not reaching the Philippines. This species is notable for its striking inflorescences, which are arranged in corymbs and blooms year‐round. As the flowers mature, the petals undergo a colour transformation, turning from yellow to scarlet red.
