Abstract
We present a genome assembly from a female plant (Common hop, Hops; Streptophyta; Magnoliopsida; Rosales; Cannabaceae). The genome sequence has a total length of 2,488.10 megabases. Most of the assembly (99.39%) is scaffolded into 10 chromosomal pseudomolecules, including the X sex chromosome. The mitochondrial and plastid genome assemblies have lengths of 400.02 kilobases and 153.77 kilobases, respectively. Gene annotation of this assembly by Ensembl identified 32,487 protein-coding genes.
