Notes on Smilax bockii and S. seisuiensis (Smilacaceae), two newly recorded species from Laos and Thailand.
Smilax bockii is proposed as an accepted name, and S. septemnervia is treated as a new synonym of S. seisuiensis. Smilax bockii and S. seisuiensis are reported as new records from Laos and Thailand, respectively. The lectotypes of S. bockii and S. stemonifolia are designated. A revision of Gomphostemma (Lamiaceae).
The genus Wall. ex Benth. is revised. Thirty-one species are recognised with three new species described: Bongch. from north-eastern Thailand, southern Laos and central Vietnam, Bongch. and Bongch. from northern Myanmar. Thirty names are lectotypified. Flora of Singapore precursors, 26: The genus Maesa (Primulaceae) in Singapore and clarification of Maesa ramentacea in Malesia.
Two species of Maesa are recorded for Singapore: the scrambling species M. sumatrana Scheff. found in the Central Catchment area, and the small tree taxon M. leptobotrya Hance found primarily in the Bukit Timah area.
