A molecular phylogenetic study of African members of tribe Hypolytreae (Mapanioideae, Cyperaceae).
Mapanoioideae are one of two subfamilies of Cyperaceae and consist of 186 species. Molecular phylogenetic relationships in subfamily Cyperoideae have recently been studied well, whereas evolutionary relationships in Mapanioideae remain little known. Nomenclatural and taxonomic notes on Carex lazarei nom. nov. (Cyperaceae).
Carex bulgarica (Domin) Lazare 1986 is a younger homonym of C. bulgarica Velen. 1889, the latter being validly published as an alternative name along with C. digitata var. bulgarica Velen.
