New combinations and new names in Myrcia (Myrtaceae) for Flora of São Paulo state, Brazil.
Nomenclatural updates are presented for the genus Myrcia. New combinations are presented for Myrcia antonia, M. eugeniopsoides, M. reitzii and M. cionei (based on Marlierea antonia, M. eugeniopsoides, M. reitzii and Myrcianthes cionei), and four new names are proposed: Myrcia ferruginosa, M. vellozoi, M. multipunctata and M. insigniflora (based on...Mazine, Fiorella ; Santos, Matheus Fortes ; Lucas, Eve

New names in Myrcia sect. Calyptranthes (Myrtaceae).
After extensive molecular (Staggemeier et al. 2015; Santos et al. 2017; Wilson et al. 2016) and revisionary (e.g. Lima et al. 2018; Lourenço et al. 2018) work to maintain a manageable and monophyletic genus, Myrcia De Candolle (1827: 406) currently includes the previously recognized genera Calyptranthes Swartz (1788: 79), Gomidesia...Lima, Duane F. ; Lucas, Eve J. ; Lima Lourenço, Ana Raquel ; Mazine, Fiorella F.

Typifications, synonymizations and nomenclatural notes in Myrcia sect. Reticulosae (Myrtaceae).
Myrcia sect. Reticulosae comprises ca. 15 Brazilian endemic species distributed mainly in Atlantic Forest, Cerrado (Brazilian savanna) and Campo Rupestre (rocky outcrop vegetation). These species appeared as a cohesive group for the first time in recent phylogenetic hypotheses and their taxonomic revision is currently underway. In this context, this study...Fernandes, Thiago ; Lima, Duane F. ; Lucas, Eve J. ; Alvarenga Braga, João Marcelo

Nomenclatural adjustments in Amazonian Myrcia sect. Aulomyrcia (Myrtaceae).
Most recent studies support a broad circumscription of the Neotropical genus Myrcia De Candolle (1827: 401), now including species previously recognised in Calyptranthes Swartz (1788: 79) and Marlierea Cambessèdes (1833: 373) based on molecular and morphological evidence (e.g. Lucas et al. 2011, 2018, Lourenço 2015, Staggemeier et al. 2015, Wilson...Gaem, Paulo Henrique ; Mazine, Fiorella Fernanda ; Lucas, Eve

Leaf morphology and anatomy in Myrcia sect. Aulomyrcia (Myrtaceae): species circumscription and characterization of clades.
Myrcia, a diverse neotropical genus of Myrtaceae, encompasses 793 species. However, species of Myrcia are similar and difficult to distinguish. In Myrcia sect. Aulomyrcia, leaf features help distinguishing clades and species. Our aim is to provide leaf data for species of M. sect. Aulomyrcia’s clades F, and G. We sampled...Wagner, Mariana A. ; Lucas, Eve J. ; Soffiatti, Patricia ; Santos Cabral, William ; Portela, Paulo Ricardo …

Myrcia (Myrtaceae) in the Vale Natural Reserve, Linhares, Espírito Santo, Brazil.
Abstract Myrcia (Myrteae, Myrtaceae) is represented by 101 species in the Brazilian state of Espírito Santo, but local floristic surveys on this genus still lack in this centre of diversity and endemism. In this context, a taxonomic account of Myrcia in the Vale Natural Reserve (VNR), Linhares, Espírito Santo, is... -

Three new species of Myrcia sect. Myrcia (Myrtaceae) from South America.
Three new species of Myrcia are described, illustrated and discussed. Myrcia rionegrensis from the Brazilian Amazon is related to M. clusiifolia from which it differs in having leaves with acute apex and ribbed fruits (vs. rounded apex and smooth fruits in M. clusiifolia); Myrcia microcalyx is similar to Myrcia scytophylla...Lima Dos Santos, Leidiana ; Vasconcelos, Thaís N.C. ; Ferreira de Sales, Margareth ; Lucas, Eve
