Towards a collaborative approach to the systematics of Ipomoea: A response to the “Rebuttal to (2786) Proposal to change the conserved type of Ipomoea, nom. cons. (Convolvulaceae)”.
A proposal to change the conserved type of was published in December 2020, and recommended by the Nomenclature Committee in 2023. This was done in the light of the possible negative consequences for a name change in the crop sweetpotato, which risk our proposal would significantly minimize. Recently, Muñoz‐Rodríguez &...Eserman, Lauren A. ; Buril, Maria Teresa ; Chatrou, Lars W. ; Clay, Keith ; Desquilbet, Thibaut E. …

Ipomoea noemana (Convolvulaceae) a new species from Ancash eastern slope in Peru.
Ipomoea noemana, a new species of Ipomoea endemic to the Marañón river area in Peru and known from a single population, is described and illustrated. Its relationship with other species of Ipomoea is discussed in the light of its morphology and molecular analysis of DNA barcode sequences.Jara, Enoc ; Muñoz-Rodríguez, Pablo ; Wood, John R. Barking up the wrong tree: the dangers of taxonomic misidentification in molecular phylogenetic studies.
– is a Brazilian endemic genus that has sat uncomfortably in Convolvulaceae where it was placed due to an enlarged and adnate fruit bract typical of . A recent molecular phylogeny suggested that two of its five morphologically almost identical species actually belong to two different families, Malpighiaceae (superrosids) and... -

A Monograph of Operculina (Convolvulaceae)
A comprehensive systematic monograph is presented for the genus Operculina Silva Manso (Convolvulaceae). Formerly included in tribe Merremieae D. F. Austin, now incertae sedis, recent systematic studies have clarified the phylogenetic relationships for Operculina and unequivocally demonstrated that it is monophyletic as currently circumscribed and that the unique operculate capsule...Staples, G.
