A new genus, Rockhausenia (Compositae: Senecioneae: Senecioninae).
Kunth (Compositae: Senecioneae: Senecioninae) was effectively lectotypified by Rockhausen based on . Two later lectotypifications have apparently been made, firstly (presumably by Cabrera) and secondly (presumably by Funk) , yet the website has no type stated. In removing to the then newly recognised , Funk moved Rockhausen’s type thereby creating... -

Boliviadendron, a new segregate genus of mimosoid legume (Leguminosae, Caesalpinioideae, mimosoid clade) narrowly endemic to the interior Andean valleys of Bolivia.
Phylogenetic analyses of DNA sequence data sampling all species of alongside representatives of genera of the Inga and Albizia clades of the larger ingoid clade of mimosoid legumes (sensu Koenen et al. 2020) confirm the non-monophyly of the genus . We show that is placed in the Albizia clade, while... -

Revised Species Delimitation in the Giant Water Lily Genus Victoria (Nymphaeaceae) Confirms a New Species and Has Implications for Its Conservation.
Reliably documenting plant diversity is necessary to protect and sustainably benefit from it. At the heart of this documentation lie species concepts and the practical methods used to delimit taxa. Here, we apply a total-evidence, iterative methodology to delimit and document species in the South American genus (Nymphaeaceae). The systematics... -

Handroanthus abayoy, a new species of Bignoniaceae endemic from Bolivia.
Handroanthus abayoy is a new species endemic to the southern region of the department of Santa Cruz, Bolivia. Morphologically the most similar species to H. abayoy is H. selachidentatus, both species are part of Tabebuia group II according to the classification proposed by Grose & Olmstead (2007). However, the two...Tabebuia group 2, Handroanthus abayoy, Bolivia, New species, Eudicots, and Endemic species

A synopsis of Oxypetalum (Apocynaceae) in Bolivia, with the description of one new species and a key to species in Bolivia.
We present a synopsis of Oxypetalum (Asclepiadoideae, Apocynaceae) in Bolivia. In addition, one new species, Oxypetalum urceolatum, is described, illustrated, and compared to its putative closest relatives. Oxypetalum urceolatum forms a complex with O. erianthum, O. brachystemma, O. dactylostelma, O. dombeyanum, O. molle, O. pearsonii, and O. fuscum. Morphologically, O....New records, Asclepiadoideae, IUCN Red List, Bolivia, Oxypetalum urceolatum, Taxonomy, Eudicots, and Biodiversity

A new species of Euploca (Boraginales: Heliotropiaceae) from the Inter-Andean dry valleys of Bolivia.
Euploca riochiquensis is described and illustrated as a species new to science endemic to the Rio Chico valley in Chuquisaca, Bolivia. Morphologically it resembles E. lagoense in its solitary axillary flowers but differs conspicuously in its shrubby habit. Its phylogenetic position, conservation status and distribution are discussed.Bolivia, Euploca, Endemic species, Xerophytic vegetation, Molecular sequence data, Taxonomy, Andes, and Eudicots
