Two new combinations in Brazilian Dendropanax (Araliaceae).
New combinations and lectotypes are here proposed for two Brazilian species of Dendropanax (Araliaceae): Dendropanax simplicifolius for Didymopanax simplicifolius from northern Mato Grosso Amazonian forests, and Dendropanax pruinosus for Gilibertia pruinosa, known only from gallery forests in the Chapada dos Veadeiros region. Both of these species are very poorly known...Fiaschi, Pedro ; Frodin, David G.

A catalogue of the vascular plants of the Caatinga Phytogeographical Domain: a synthesis of floristic and phytosociological surveys.
A catalogue is presented of plant names in use in the Caatinga Phytogeographical Domain (CPD), the largest semiarid ecoregion of South America. We compiled all pubished papers we could locate with floristic and/or phytosociological data relating to the CPD and created a database of all site-based surveys, all names reported... -

Status, typification, and synonymy of some early names for South Asian and Oceanian plants proposed in Urtica or in other genera now in the Urticaceae.
L.f., the basionym of the currently accepted name (L.f.) Chew, and L.f., were both published in 1782 by Linné filius in and are here lectotypified with specimens from original material collected by Thunberg on Java. After its publication, has only been cited as a synonym of , but that is...Friis, Ib ; Wilmot‐Dear, Christine Melanie ; Moore, Alison

Phylogenetic Analysis and Taxonomic Delimitation of the “Hairy-Fig” Complex of Ficus sect. Eriosycea (Moraceae) in China.
The hairy-fig complex of Ficus sect. Eriosycea (Moraceae) includes F. hirta, F. esquiroliana, F. simplicissima and a Chinese entity misidentified as F. fulva. These species are difficult to delimit because of the continuously varying morphological characteristics. In order to re-evaluate the status of these taxa, herbarium specimens were extensively examined...Lu, Jing ; Gui, Ping ; Lu, Zhong-Ling ; Zhang, Li-Fang ; Tian, Huai-Zhen …

Nomenclatural notes on some autumn flowering daffodils (Narcissus, Amaryllidaceae).
Autumn flowering daffodils have been recorded in taxonomic history for at least 500 years. First descriptions were often merely based on hearsay, as they were often not studied alive. Consequently, many errors in interpretation of these names have occurred and taxonomic confusion, errors in identification and misapplication of names have...Koopowitz, Harold ; Howe, Marilynn ; Christenhusz, Maarten J. New names in Myrcia sect. Calyptranthes (Myrtaceae).
After extensive molecular (Staggemeier et al. 2015; Santos et al. 2017; Wilson et al. 2016) and revisionary (e.g. Lima et al. 2018; Lourenço et al. 2018) work to maintain a manageable and monophyletic genus, Myrcia De Candolle (1827: 406) currently includes the previously recognized genera Calyptranthes Swartz (1788: 79), Gomidesia...Lima, Duane F. ; Lucas, Eve J. ; Lima Lourenço, Ana Raquel ; Mazine, Fiorella F.

Typifications, synonymizations and nomenclatural notes in Myrcia sect. Reticulosae (Myrtaceae).
Myrcia sect. Reticulosae comprises ca. 15 Brazilian endemic species distributed mainly in Atlantic Forest, Cerrado (Brazilian savanna) and Campo Rupestre (rocky outcrop vegetation). These species appeared as a cohesive group for the first time in recent phylogenetic hypotheses and their taxonomic revision is currently underway. In this context, this study...Fernandes, Thiago ; Lima, Duane F. ; Lucas, Eve J. ; Alvarenga Braga, João Marcelo

Nomenclatural adjustments in Amazonian Myrcia sect. Aulomyrcia (Myrtaceae).
Most recent studies support a broad circumscription of the Neotropical genus Myrcia De Candolle (1827: 401), now including species previously recognised in Calyptranthes Swartz (1788: 79) and Marlierea Cambessèdes (1833: 373) based on molecular and morphological evidence (e.g. Lucas et al. 2011, 2018, Lourenço 2015, Staggemeier et al. 2015, Wilson...Gaem, Paulo Henrique ; Mazine, Fiorella Fernanda ; Lucas, Eve

Checklist, typification details, and nomenclature status of ascomycetous fungi originally described in Sri Lanka.
Despite being a biodiversity-rich country, Sri Lanka’s fungal diversity remains largely unexplored. In the 19th century, British mycologists conducted extensive research, leading to the identification of more than 1,800 fungal taxa, including ascomycetous and basidiomycetous species. However, the majority of these taxa have not been revisited since their initial description,...
