A new combination in Handroanthus (Bignoniaceae) from Brazil.
While reviewing Vellozo’s Bignoniaceae names in Floræ Fluminensis, a nomenclatural novelty came to light. The name Bignonia longiflora Vellozo, being a later homonym of B. longiflora Cavanilles, was deemed illegitimate. Consequently, Vellozo’s name was eventually replaced with Tecoma speciosa Candolle ex Martius. However, when Tabebuia Gomes ex Candolle was considered... -

New combinations in and typification of tropical African species of Urochloa (incl. Brachiaria) (Poaceae).
Detailed morphological and molecular research has led to the conclusion that the majority of the species of the genus have to move to the much smaller genus . Although many of the necessary new combinations were made, in Africa a fair number of accepted species still do not yet have...Oulo, M. ; van der Zon, A.P.M. ; Sosef, M. S. M.

Checklist, typification details, and nomenclature status of ascomycetous fungi originally described in Sri Lanka.
Despite being a biodiversity-rich country, Sri Lanka’s fungal diversity remains largely unexplored. In the 19th century, British mycologists conducted extensive research, leading to the identification of more than 1,800 fungal taxa, including ascomycetous and basidiomycetous species. However, the majority of these taxa have not been revisited since their initial description,... -
