The genome sequence of the Fruity Milkcap, Lactarius evosmus (Kühner & Romagn., 1954).
We present a genome assembly from an individual (Fruity Milkcap; Basidiomycota; Agaricomycetes; Russulales; Russulaceae). The genome sequence is 57.2 megabases in span. Most of the assembly is scaffolded into 11 chromosomal pseudomolecules. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled and is 61.51 kilobases in length.Cullington, Penny ; Douglas, Brian ; Woof, Kieran ; Gaya, Ester ; Kew Genome Acquisition Lab, Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, United Kingdom …

Telipogon nigropurpureus (Orchidaceae: Oncidiinae): new insights on its morphology and distribution in Colombia and Ecuador.
Over the past 20 years, Telipogon nigropurpureus had been known from only one specimen from the type locality near Arcabuco, Boyacá, in central Colombia. During botanical explorations in Colombia and Ecuador we have encountered more populations which are reported here. The new records found in Ecuador extend the known geographic... -

Nitrogen-fixing and non-nitrogen-fixing legume plants differ in leaf nutrient concentrations and relationships between photosynthetic and hydraulic traits.
Legumes account for a significant proportion of plants in the terrestrial ecosystems. Nitrogen-fixing capability of certain legumes is a pivotal trait that contributes to their ecological dominance. Yet, the functional traits and trait relationships between N-fixer and non-N-fixer legumes are poorly understood. Here, we investigated 27 functional traits associated with... -

The genome sequence of lesser trefoil or Irish shamrock, Trifolium dubium Sibth. (Fabaceae).
We present a genome assembly from an individual (lesser trefoil; Tracheophyta; Magnoliopsida; Fabales; Fabaceae) as part of a collaboration between the Darwin Tree of Life and the European Reference Genome Atlas. The genome sequence is 679.1 megabases in span. Most of the assembly is scaffolded into 15 chromosomal pseudomolecules. The genome sequence of black poplar, Populus nigra subsp. betulifolia L., 1753 (Salicaceae).
We present a genome assembly from an individual subsp. (black poplar; Tracheophyta; Malpighiales; Salicaceae). The genome sequence is 413.2 megabases in span. Most of the assembly (99.73%) is scaffolded into 19 chromosomal pseudomolecules. Mitochondrial and plastid genomes were also assembled. Three mitochondrial assemblies have lengths of 281.85, 335.57 and 186.15... -

Notes on Galtonia (Hyacinthaceae) and a Description of the New Hybrid Galtonia ×ceredigionis.
The history and typification of the five species belonging in the genus Galtonia Decne. (Hyacinthaceae) are discussed. Lectotypes are designated for the names Hyacinthus candicans Baker and Ornithogalum saundersiae Baker. The new spontaneous hybrid Galtonia ×ceredigionis J. Compton & Schrire, formed from a natural cross between G. candicans (Baker) Decne....Compton, James A. ; Schrire, Brian D.
