Gabonius gen. nov. (Leguminosae, Caesalpinioideae, Detarieae), a distant cousin of Hymenostegia endemic to Gabon.
A new genus, Gabonius is described to accommodate a single species, Gabonius ngouniensis which was previously misplaced in Hymenostegia sensu lato.
