Clusia salicifolia (Clusiaceae), a new hemiepiphyte species from Costa Rica and Panama.
We describe and illustrate (Clusiaceae) a new species from Central America. This new species is different to all related species for its hemiepiphytic habit, narrow leaves with acute to acuminate apex, reticulate resin canals, staminate flowers with quadrangular androecium with 30 – 47 free stamens, and pistillate flowers with 4...Wodcke, Emma A. ; Luján, Manuel ; Hammel, Barry

Notes on Galtonia (Hyacinthaceae) and a Description of the New Hybrid Galtonia ×ceredigionis.
The history and typification of the five species belonging in the genus Galtonia Decne. (Hyacinthaceae) are discussed. Lectotypes are designated for the names Hyacinthus candicans Baker and Ornithogalum saundersiae Baker. The new spontaneous hybrid Galtonia ×ceredigionis J. Compton & Schrire, formed from a natural cross between G. candicans (Baker) Decne....Compton, James A. ; Schrire, Brian D.

Phylogenetic trends in TZ staining analysis of six deep dormancy seeds.
The assessment of seed quality and physiological potential is essential in seed production and crop breeding. In the process of rapid detection of seed viability using tetrazolium (TZ) staining, it is necessary to spend a lot of labour and material resources to explore the pretreatment and staining methods of hard...Peng, Chen Yin ; Wu, Yu ; Huang, Wen Hui ; Deng, Zhi Yun ; Sun, Xiao Rui …

New species and a revision of the genus Peperomia (Piperaceae) in Thailand.
We update the descriptions of seventeen native species of Peperomia in Thailand, including a new species, P. ranongensis, and a detailed morphological description for the uncommon species P. kotana based on Thai specimens. We provide a generic description, a key to all the species and provide lectotypifications for P. bavina,... -

Pollen morphology of the Sapotaceae from Thailand and its taxonomic implications.
The external pollen morphology of the family Sapotaceae in Thailand was examined using the acetolysis method to determine its taxonomic significance. Pollen of 39 specimens belonging to 32 species was investigated by means of light and scanning electron microscopy. Pollen grains are found to be monads, isopolar, colporate, lalongate, and...Kunasit, Pongsakorn ; Chantaranothai, Pranom

Cheirostylis takeoi (Orchidaceae), a new record for Thailand.
Cheirostylis takeoi, a new national species record from Mae Sai District, Chiang Rai Province, northern Thailand, is described, photographed and illustrated based on Thai material. Furthermore, we outline how it differs from the morphologically most similar species in Thailand, C. thailandica. The newly recorded species is mainly characterized by its... -

The genome sequence of subterranean clover, Trifolium subterraneum L. (Fabaceae).
We present a genome assembly from an individual (subterranean clover; Tracheophyta; Magnoliopsida; Fabales; Fabaceae). The genome sequence is 483.8 megabases in span. Most of the assembly is scaffolded into 8 chromosomal pseudomolecules. The mitochondrial and plastid genome assemblies have lengths of 309.28 kilobases and 144.76 kilobases in length, respectively. -

The genome sequence of the apple, Malus domestica (Suckow) Borkh., 1803.
We present genome assemblies from four cultivars (the apple; Streptophyta; Magnoliopsida; Rosales; Rosaceae). The genome sequences are 643–653 megabases in span. The greater part of each assembly length (99.24–99.74%) is scaffolded into 17 chromosomal pseudomolecules. The mitochondrial and plastid genomes were also assembled and are 400 kilobases and 167 kilobases...Könyves, Kálmán ; Mian, Sahr ; Johns, Jennifer ; Ruhsam, Markus ; Leitch, Ilia J. …
